What are the symptoms of IBD?

The main symptoms are:

• Diarrhoea
• Abdominal pain
• Blood in the stools
• Poor appetite & weight loss

However, there may be other symptoms including:

• Mouth ulcers
• Red painful eyes 
• Painful, swollen joints 
• Painful red lumps on the skin, usually on the legs 
• Swelling & soreness round the anus
